To my friends and neighbors in Simsbury,
As the New Year begins and we turn to the business of the Town of Simsbury, I thank the Board of Selectmen and the community for their support and confidence in me. Although I did not seek or run for the office of First Selectman, I willingly and respectfully take on this responsibility.
I have always worked in a bipartisan manner to do what is in the best interest for the Town and will continue to do so. I will seek out your opinions, ask what issues are important to you and listen to your concerns.
Delivering a fair, compassionate, open and effective government is my top priority. I will continue our record of fiscal responsibility which includes some of the most conservative town budget growth in Simsbury's history and the first tax decrease in at least 40 years. I will continue to involve the public in important decisions facing our Town, including environmental stewardship of our open space, what we expect from our government and how best to preserve and develop our vision for the Town.
My door is open to you and I invite your input.
I look forward to working with you.
